Medusa is revered as a guru of the underground—a source of wisdom and creative fire for the next wave of MCs and truth‑seekers. Medusa’s work has been featured in Ava DuVernay’s documentary This Is the Life and in the Hip Hop classic Freestyle. Her songwriting and ASCAP credits include collaborations with Tupac Shakur on the Gridlocked film soundtrack, Teena Marie’s “The Mackin’ Game” (with MC Lyte), and Speech of Arrested Development on his gold‑certified Japanese single “Spiritual People.”
Remi (Reminisce.X) and Zeus (Heyzeus) are South Bend, Indiana-based artists, mentors, and co-founders of HomeGrown Hype LLC—a creative collective specializing in music, entertainment, and community engagement. Their programs are designed to inspire self-confidence, creativity, and a love of learning in young people through the power of art, rhythm, and storytelling.
Poems While You Wait is a collective of poets & their manual typewriters whose mission is to appear around Chicago in public places—street festivals, museums, libraries, theaters, and events—to provide our patrons with a magical, unexpected, unpretentious, and decontextualized encounter with poetry. No requested topic is too big or too small, too funny or too sad, too silly or too serious.
Iiimagine face painting’s owner and lead artist Sierra Adams is passionate about nurturing relationships with her clients that celebrate the ability of people of all ages to be active participants in the creative process and she is deeply committed to creating a shared visually immersive art experience.
MURS is a true artist and entrepreneur, who has crafted a remarkable legacy and lifted many other artists as he’s climbed. He has collaborated with a range of artists, from Snoop and E-40 to Mac Miller and Kendrick. MURS also founded the most successful independent rap festival, Paid Dues. He has toured the world and performed at many notable festivals; Coachella, Bonnaroo and Camp Flognaw to name just a few. Among his numerous accolades, MURS was also the first emcee to set the Guinness World Record for Rap Marathon, rapping nonstop for an astounding 26 hours live on Twitch. MURS has certainly carved a unique path in the music industry with 18 solo albums, numerous collaborative projects, and 20 plus years touring nationally and internationally. He also created Groundwaves, a national music mentorship and artist development platform that currently is active in three different states.
