Holiday Market and Exchange

Blue promo with off-white text reads Holiday Market and Exchange

A day of creativity, service, and gift-giving with Chicagoland vendors

  • National Public Housing Museum, 919 S. Ada Street, Chicago, IL 60607

  • Free

The first-ever Holiday Market in our new home offers a space to celebrate, create, and share in service of gratitude.

Join the National Public Housing Museum for an afternoon vendor market and workshops with local artists, makers, and other creative entrepreneurs.

From selling candy in Cabrini-Green Homes to doing hair in home-based salons in Houston, public housing residents and other low income communities leverage their creative practices and cooperative networks to sustain their families and build vibrant ecosystems, despite historical disinvestment.

FREE admission, hands-on workshops, and cake. Please register in advance.

This program is presented as part of our Empowerment Hub program, which is generously supported by Polk Bros. Foundation and the Kresge Foundation.

Participating vendors and artists

In addition to a spirited market featuring a diverse array of goods and services, this event features hands-on workshops led by creatives and organizers whose practices visualize, honor, document, adorn, and remember those people, places and practices that came before us.
