Nunn shares how she arrived in Atlanta and began her work with American Friends Service Committee (ASFC) and Housing Justice League (HJL) with housing and economic justice work with the residents of Forest Cove Apartments.

Foluke Nunn has worked as a community organizer with the Atlanta Economic Justice Program of the American Friends Service Committee since late 2017. She began her time with AFSC as a youth organizer, developing and leading community organizing internship programs for young people. More recently, Foluke’s focus has been providing organizing support to various tenant associations, tenant campaigns, and home defense fights in metro Atlanta.
Foluke is a member of Housing Justice League’s Eviction Defense Team, which works to help tenants at risk of eviction build power and know their rights. Prior to working for AFSC, Foluke was an assistant to Atlanta City Councilmember Michael Julian Bond. Foluke graduated from Stanford University in 2016 with a B.A. in Public Policy and a B.A. in African and African American Studies. She was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida.
