Lace up your sneakers and and join us for a HOOPcycle Play Session in North Lawndale, as part of Sundays on the Boulevard: Sports on the Boulevard, a fun-filled day of sport and play activities for the whole family!

Conceptualized by artist Marisa Morán Jahn and architect Rafi Segal, HOOPcycle explores the intersections of recreational equity, cultural heritage, and public space. Drawing inspiration from both contemporary basketball and its ancient pre-Columbian ancestor, HOOPcycle combines a reinterpreted vertical hoop with a tricycle-mounted design, offering a reimagined sports experience that challenges norms and unites communities through play.

This activity is presented in partnership with Lawndale Pop Up Spot, and Open Books as part of the Sundays on the Boulevard Summer Series!

For registration questions, accessibility accommodations, or other questions about the event, please contact Urban Initiatives directly.
