Jennie: I’ve always felt like the years we spent in Public Housing were very Essential in our Family lives as far as our educational backgrounds from generation to generation. It’s kinda like a Sankofa Moment. You really don’t know where you are going unless you know where you been!I was 15 years of age during the Great Snow Storm in Chicago January of 1967; our Mother passed away in our apartment on Ada on January 28th, 1967. We really didn’t feel like we were in Public Housing until we moved into a House.
