Docents
Our cultural workforce development program helps people in our community improve their skills and knowledge. We focus on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion while encouraging creativity and new ideas. The program(s) offers training and professional development opportunities and creates supportive environments where people can grow and make meaningful contributions in their fields. Activities include education, public speaking, mentorship, skills training, networking, and advocacy.

Museum Ambassador Training Program

This is a paid 3-week training module (12 hours a week). This and other trainings serve as pathways to viable employment. Upon completion of your training qualifies you for further employment opportunities. A Museum Ambassador serves as the vibrant heart of National Public Housing Museum’s (NPHM) educational outreach, bridging the gap between our collections/exhibits and our diverse audiences.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to be a part of this training, who are excited about sharing their knowledge and passion with others and have an interest in museum education, art and history. Most importantly, we value a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to inspire and educate.
